Close all windows related to Display and System Preferences.

Select the Scaled option just below the drop-down menu.From the Optimize For drop-down menu, select Display.On the Display window, select the Display tab. Speaker - Click on the drop-down arrow to select the Speaker that will be used. Automatically adjust microphone settings - Toggle the button to enable or disable this option. A secondary window will appear with options to adjust the resolution when the Mirror Display option is checked. The Sound settings can be configured as follows: Microphone - Click on the drop-down arrow to select the Microphone that will be used.To use custom sound effects, they have to be in AIFF format. If you do not wish to have the same windows on both screens do not check this box. The easiest way to do this is to select the Go menu in Finder, hold the Option key until Library appears. This option will duplicate what is being shown on the laptop screen to the projector. The Mirror Display check box is located in the bottom left corner.Under the Displays window, select the Arrangement tab.

Click the Apple Icon in the top left corner.
